Felix Verdejo-Sanchez former Puerto Rican boxer who competed for Puerto Rico in the 2012 Olympics against Panama and Tunisia found guilty of kidnapping and murdering his 27-year-old pregnant lover, Keishla Rodríguez Ortiz, and her unborn child.
Former Puerto Rican boxer Félix Verdejo Sánchez was found guilty in July of kidnapping and killing his girlfriend and her unborn baby. Luis Antonio Cádiz Martínez, a friend of Verdejo’s also charged in the case. In an interview, Luis said that Verdejo pressured Rodríguez Ortiz into getting an abortion before she was killed.
The body of Rodríguez was found in a Puerto Rican lagoon in San Juan on Sunday 2nd May and in July three men and nine women along with Verdejo were consisting by jury.
The 30-year-old Verdejo received two life sentences on Friday after he was found guilty of kidnapping and murdering.
